I bought this ring for my husband as a wedding band. He really wanted a tungsten band and this one was lovely...until it broke. We purchased the ring in December 2008 after looking at numerous jewelry shops for a band that was simple and polished. This ring had great reviews and seemed a good way to avoid paying $200-$400 for a wedding band. My husband frequently took his wedding band off to avoid scratching it when he did activities around the home. Unfortunately, when he did this recently, the band fell on the tile in our bathroom and cracked in two. Tungsten is supposed to be a very durable material. This band did not endure. It is awarded two stars because it did last for about 18 months and was very attractive. However, one expects their wedding band to be around longer than that. I would not expect a high quality ring to break in two if it hit the floor unless it was made out of a much softer material like hematite. Perhaps the ring just hit in the most perfect way to cause the break.
